We pray that both the Speakers and the hearers will receive a blessing from the Lord. The Lord’s Supper will follow the service this evening, and all who love the Lord are invited to join with us at this special time. Congratulations to Friedrich on passing his driving test. He goes off to University on the 22nd. Pray that he does well and makes good friends there – hopefully in the Christian Community!
The Chapel will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week from 11.30am to 3.00pm. There will be a presentation of ‘Images of West Cornwall showing. A chance to anyone passing by to sit and relax for a while. Maurice will be here and will appreciate anyone’s company!
The Chapel would like to thank Trish and all her helpers (in any capacity) for their hard work over the past week. Likewise, Trish would like to thank all those who helped and supported in any of the Outreach this past week.
At the Harvest Supper Concert on this coming Saturday at 7pm, the St Ives Praise Choir will be singing. We always enjoy their singing, and this will be followed by a pasty supper in the Schoolroom. Please come and enjoy the evening. All money given at the Harvest Service will go towards the redecoration of the Chapel.
For Harvest next week, please hand any money for the flowers and pasties to Doreen, as soon as possible.
Please will any ladies who are able, come to the Chapel at 2pm on Saturday 22nd September, to help decorate the Chapel.
Chapel Christmas Dinner 2018. This year we will be going to Carbis Bay Hotel on Sunday 16th December at 12.30pm for lunch at 1 o’clock. A £10 deposit per head is required when ordering (to be paid to Elizabeth by the end of September). Balance to be paid by end of November. Everyone is welcome!
Redecoration of Chapel. The cost of redecorating, outside and some inside will cost £6840. We have £4000 towards this (2 years of gift aid, gifts already received and gifts given in memory of loved ones). The gifts received at Harvest will go towards this project.
If anyone feels they would like to lead the worship before the services, please speak to Peter James.
Will folk please note that the car parking space at the Church Hall is only to be used for Church related activities. Sometimes people have come to clean the Chapel (or other duties) and have not been able to park.
Please remember to collect stamps for Slavic Gospel Association funds. There is a collecting jar in the Schoolroom.
