But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40. 31.

We are pleased that you are able to join with us today. If you are on holiday, please take our greetings back to your home church. We are here to worship our risen Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The Services both morning and evening will be taken by the team from the United Beach Mission. They are doing a wonderful work on our beaches, and we must continue to pray for them each day. We pray that both the Speakers and the hearers will receive a blessing from the Lord.

Please remember to pray for Mary (Parsons), Ted and Margaret, Margaret and David, Vera, and Jimmy and Vanessa. Claire is still waiting for the MRI results, so please remember this in your prayers. Allie had her operation on Monday, and all went well.  It is possible that she will need chemotherapy after her recovery from the operation.

If anyone feels they would like to lead the worship before the services, please speak to Peter James.

Will folk please note that the car parking space at the Church Hall is only to be used for Church related activities. Sometimes people have come to clean the Chapel (or other duties) and have not been able to park! The UBM have been given permission to use the car park each evening when they need it, other than Sunday and Monday.

Revd. Edwin Myers and his family are settling into the Manse in Carbis Bay, but find there are one or two jobs that need attending to. If anyone is able to help with fixing double glazing, mending a leak in the bathroom or building an outside step, please contact Karen Curnow or Revd. Edwin Myers.

There will be a Choir practice for the Ladies on 31st August at 2pm in the Chapel. Please try to attend as we will be learning new pieces for Harvest!

We are invited to a Welcome Service for Revd. Alistair Bolt as Superintendent Minister, for Revd. Edwin Myers and for Deacon Stephen Richardson as they begin their ministry with us, and a celebration of the new Cornwall Circuit on Sunday 2nd September at 6.30pm at Chapel Street Methodist Church Penzance. Revd. Steve Wild will lead the service, and there will be refreshments.

The church is planning an Outreach at the time of the Town’s September Festival. We are trying to fit in with the theme of the Festival’s Arts/Crafts. These will take place in the Church Hall.

Monday 10th, 3pm to 5pm. Celebrate with a festival cream tea.

Tuesday 11th at 2.00pm. ‘SEASIDE CRAFTS’ see and do with a workshop in craft.

Thursday 13th at 11.30am. Hear and see how the early artists put the colour into old St Ives.

This is an opportunity for the whole church to be involved, there is something you can do and I would like to encourage you all to think about this. PRAY! Bring along someone you know. Chat to people.  Help with coffee/teas, washing up, even drying a few cups. A really important thing is to encourage and support everyone by your presence. If you can help in any way, please contact Trish Jackson.

Please remember to collect stamps for Slavic Gospel Association funds. There is a collecting jar in the Schoolroom.

All the services in the Chapel are recorded and are available to purchase or to borrow. See Maurice Jackson or Joel Perkin if you would like to have one.

Thought for the WeekLet us thank God for His countless blessings!
