A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up. Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered and died because they had no moisture. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew with it and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown. When He said this, He called out ’He who has ears to hear, let him hear’! Luke 8.5 – 8

Claire had chemo last week, and is due to have a full body scan in this coming week. Martin Hagget’s daughter, Allie is to start a course of 3 months chemo starting this week. Please keep praying. Please pray for Iris, as her hip operation was cancelled last week. She is in a lot of pain. Also pray for Paul and Debbie Trevorrow. We must not forget the people in Indonesia, who have suffered this awful earthquake!
Friday 12th October will be Betty’s 90th birthday, and she invites anyone who would like to join her for a cup of coffee and cake between 10am and 1pm.
Please would everyone give a telephone number of someone to be contacted in the event of an accident, to Mary Cowling. This list will be kept at the Chapel for use in an emergency! If you have previously given a contact number to Mary, can you please check that it has not changed – this often happens if the person changes their phone.
