Revd Dr Alastair VC Bolt MA, BSc, PhD

My wife Sue, son Daniel and myself Edwin are excited about being here and I am looking forward to sharing in ministry with you all. This will be my third appointment in the UK. The previous appointments were six years in the East Anglia District at the Ely and Newmarket Circuit; then for seven years in the Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District of the Cannock Chase Circuit. I was Superintendent in that Circuit for the last four years and also represented the District on the Methodist Council for four years. While in the East Anglia District I went on a week’s mission to Latvia as that District has a link with the Methodist Church in Latvia.

My hobby is steam train related. My son and I have been working on a OO gauge model railway layout. As a family we also visit heritage / preservation railways.

As you would have gathered, I am not from these northern parts. My family and I are originally from even further south than the Isles of Scilly, South Africa in fact. We moved to the UK in 2005. The most amazing aspect for me in the Christian Faith is the opportunity for anyone to have a personal relationship with Jesus; which leads to a transformed lifestyle , and in turn inspires us to share / speak our faith with others. In the power of the Holy Spirit I would want to encourage folk to discover this reality and consequently gain confidence to invite others to meet Jesus.

Revd. Edwin Myers

I’m here with my wife Gillian, and we are excited and thrilled to be sharing in the life of this community. This is my fourth appointment; I served in the Oxford Circuit, Channel Islands and most recently, Treharris in South Wales. My hobbies include reading, walking and running (slowly!).
