There are still many in our Fellowship to pray for. Claire, although feeling very tired has had a better week following treatment on Monday.  She is still looking after her mother, as her sister is still very poorly.   Please remember Mary Parsons, Ted and Margaret Allford, Margaret and David Stevens, Vera Care, Jimmy and Vanessa Barber, and Ron Watkins.  Please keep praying!  Don’t forget to continue to pray for Allie Bygrave, Betty Stevens and Iris Bidgood.

Please continue to pray for Leah and family, as they wait to hear when the heart surgery will go ahead.  Waiting is always difficult – especially when a child is involved.

We wish Jane a very Happy Birthday for this coming Friday, when she will be 80 years young!  We hope she has a really happy day.

Message from William Thomas. Thanks to all the folk at Bible Christian for supporting the ministry of the Carol Choir again this past Christmas. Social media is playing a big part in sharing our carols worldwide, and at the time of writing one clip of ‘Hellesveor’ sung at Fore Street on Christmas Eve has achieved 3167 hits. This means that every time, someone listens to the message of our Saviour’s coming to earth. We may not see the ‘fruits of our labour’ but we have done our part in ‘sowing the seed.’

Please also remember your stamps, the proceeds from the sale of these go to the Slavic Gospel Association.

While the debate on Brexit was going on in the Commons on Tuesday, the Methodist Church (nearby) held a Parliamentary Covenant Service, attended by 200 people including Members of Parliament and Lords, as apparently, they have done every January since 1995.  Please continue to pray for the situation.

Gracious God, We pray for our MP’s, government and parliamentary processes; that there would be a respectful dialogue which is based on listening attentively, not shouting louder.  We lift to you those in our communities who are anxious for change and those who are fearful for their futures.  Heal our divisions with your gift of peace that surpasses all human understanding. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thought for the Week: Our faith is good if it’s in the right Person!
