Please remember in our prayers, Mary Parsons, Jimmy and Vanessa Barber, Ted and Margaret Allford, Margaret and David Stratton, Vera Care. Also pray for Rita Phillips, Iris Bidgood and David Smith. Please pray in particular for Leah, she faces a very big operation in November and is going for various tests and X rays in the coming weeks. We understand that she is quite tearful and upset. Please pray that both she and the family will know the peace of God at this time. Claire has had her MRI scan results that showed her head to be clear!
Thanks to everyone who helped in any way throughout the September Festival Chapel Outreach. The extra help at the Cream tea, those who baked cakes for the Talk and Craft Days. All was much appreciated. Thank you to Trish Jackson for arranging the events and to Brian Stevens, Dee Lawry and Patricia for their valued contribution to the program for the Festival. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Shoebox Appeal Leaflets are available in the foyer and shoeboxes in the Sunday School. £5 per box has been suggested by Samaritans Purse to cover project costs, including transportation. Please bring boxes to Chapel by 3rd November. If you are unable to do a box, donations would be gratefully received. Please note – No sweets or toothpaste, because of customs regulations.
The numbers of people able and willing to do the Chapel cleaning are getting fewer and it is now a real problem. Are you able and also willing to join this rota?
Christmas Dinner menus are now avalable, it is important that you fill in a menu, and return to Elizabeth by the 13th October! The Chapel Christmas Dinner for this year will be held at Rosewarne Manor (Connor Downs) on 15th December.
The total gifts received at Harvest was £1263.95 (offering, gift envelopes, flowers, pasties and at the pasty supper) This excludes the generous gifts of fruit etc. Donations for the Hall £137. £50 was donated to RNLI at the request of the Matthew’s family. The gifts of fruit and flowers given out on Monday were greatly appreciated. £130 has recently been donated to the Food Bank. May I add my thanks to everyone who has contributed to the events during the September Festival. Donations received at these events have been given to the Air Ambulance appeal, the total at the moment is £253.78.
The assessment for 2019-2020 will be £15927, which equates to £3981.75 per quarter or £1327.25 per month.
In the New Year the churches in the area would like to offer the Schools Association assistance in providing the curriculum requirement of Religious Instruction through ’Open the Book’. For this to happen volunteers are needed. A training day will be held on the 10th October between 10am and 1pm at St John’s in the Fields.

Saturday 14th December Fore Street Methodist Church at 7pm. Monday 16th December at 7pm Old Cornwall Society, Junior School.
